Find for Event

Vendor Agreement

The agreement between Find for Event and the businesses listed on it. Every vendor accepts it when creating an account, and it sets out what we do for you, what you are responsible for, and what happens to your listing and your content.

Who this agreement is between

This Vendor Agreement is between the operator of the findforevent.com marketplace, which trades under the name Find for Event — referred to here as “we”, “us” or “the platform” — and you, the business or self-employed professional whose listing appears on it, referred to here as “you” or “the vendor”.

You enter into this agreement in the course of your trade or profession, not as a consumer. It takes effect when you tick the box confirming that you accept it, and stays in force for as long as your listing exists.

We record which version you accepted, when, in which language, and the address and browser it was accepted from. That record is the evidence of this agreement for both of us.

The language of this agreement

We publish this agreement in English, Armenian and Russian. You accept it in one of those languages and we record which one; that version is the one that governs the agreement between us.

English is the language we draft in and translate from. If a translation contains an error that changes the meaning of a provision, the English version prevails for that provision.

What Find for Event does, and what it does not do

Find for Event is a discovery marketplace. We publish your listing so that people planning an event can find you, compare you with others, and contact you directly.

We are not your agent, your employer, or a party to anything you agree with a client. We do not take bookings on your behalf, we do not hold or process client money, and we do not guarantee that being listed will produce any enquiries, bookings or income.

Who may list

You may create a listing if you are at least 18 years old, are legally able to trade where you operate, and are authorised to act for the business you are listing. One listing represents one business.

You must actually provide the services you list, and you must hold every licence, registration, permit and insurance that the law of your country requires for them. Keeping those current is your responsibility, not ours.

Your listing must be accurate

Prices, packages, availability, capacity, service areas and contact details must be accurate when you publish them and must be kept up to date afterwards. If your prices change, change them here too.

A price shown as a starting price must be one a real client can actually obtain. Do not advertise availability you cannot honour, and do not present another business's work, venue or credentials as your own.

If you stop trading, or stop offering a service you have listed, unpublish it. A listing that quietly stops being true is worse for you than no listing at all.

How your listing is ranked

Where your listing appears in search results and category pages depends on how well it matches what someone searched for, and on the information in the listing itself: the categories, event types, locations, price range, capacity and availability you have entered, how complete the profile is, and whether it has been published and passed review. Listings our team has featured may appear higher.

We may change how ranking works as the marketplace grows. If we introduce paid promotion, promoted listings will be labelled as promoted, and paying will never be a condition of appearing in ordinary results.

Content you upload, and the permission you give us

You keep ownership of everything you upload — your photographs, videos, descriptions and logo. Nothing in this agreement transfers your copyright to us.

You confirm that you either own that content or have permission to use it, including from the photographer or videographer who created it, and that you have any consent needed from the people and the venues that appear in it.

You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, resize, crop, translate and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting Find for Event: on your profile, in search results and category pages, in our own posts and materials about the platform, and in the previews that search engines and messaging apps generate from our pages. That licence extends to the hosting and content-delivery providers we use to serve the site, because without it we could not serve your images at all.

The licence lasts while the content is on the platform and ends when you remove it, except that copies held in backups, copies already cached by third parties, and copies already included in material we have published may persist for a limited further period we do not always control. If you would rather your content were not used in our marketing about the platform, tell us and we will stop.

Content standards

Do not upload anything unlawful, misleading, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights. Do not upload another business's watermark or branding. Do not use your listing to advertise a business other than the one it is for.

We may translate your text into the languages the platform supports. Machine translation can be imperfect; you can review and replace any translation from your dashboard, and the version you write yourself always takes precedence.

Review and publication

Nothing you write goes live automatically. New and edited profile text and images are staged for review and appear publicly once approved. This protects you as much as it protects visitors.

We may decline, hide, correct formatting in, or remove content that breaches this agreement or the law, and we may unpublish or archive a listing that does. Where it is practical and lawful we tell you why and give you a chance to fix it. If you disagree with a decision, see Complaints below.

Dealing with your clients

Every enquiry that reaches you through Find for Event is yours to handle. The contract for the event, the quote, the deposit, the cancellation terms, the refunds and the delivery of the service are all between you and your client.

You are solely responsible for the service you provide, for complying with consumer law where you operate, and for resolving complaints about it. Where a client raises a dispute with us we can pass on what we know, but we cannot decide it for you.

Treat the people who contact you with basic professional courtesy: answer or decline, and do not use their details for anything other than the enquiry they made.

Fees

Listing on Find for Event is free. There is no listing fee, no commission on your bookings, and no payment details are required to publish a profile.

If we introduce paid features in future they will be optional additions with their prices published in advance. We will not convert a free listing into a paid one, and we will not begin charging for something you already have.

Reviews and ratings

Where reviews are enabled they are written by the people who used your services and are published as they were written, subject to our content standards. They are their authors' opinions, not ours.

You may not write, buy or solicit reviews of your own business, ask anyone to review a service they did not receive, or offer anything of value in exchange for a review or for the removal of one. You may reply publicly to a review, and you may ask us to remove one that is unlawful, abusive, or clearly not about your business — but not one that is simply unfavourable.

Data protection

The details you publish in your listing — business name, contact details, service area — are public by design. That is the point of being listed, and you should treat them as visible to anyone.

You and we are each independent controllers of the personal data we hold: we for the platform, you for the client data that reaches you through it. Neither of us processes personal data on the other's instructions.

When a client's personal data reaches you through an enquiry, you are responsible for it under the data protection law that applies to you. Use it for that enquiry, keep it no longer than you need it, and do not add it to a marketing list without consent.

How we handle your data, and the data of visitors, is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

Availability of the platform

We work to keep Find for Event running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, add or withdraw features, and we may carry out maintenance that makes the platform temporarily unavailable.

None of that reduces what you owe your own clients: your obligations to them do not depend on our uptime.

Suspension, removal, and ending this agreement

You may unpublish or delete your listing at any time, from your dashboard or by writing to us at hello@findforevent.com. There is no notice period and nothing to pay.

We may suspend or remove a listing that breaches this agreement or the law, or where keeping it published would cause harm to visitors or to the platform. Except where the breach is serious, unlawful or repeated, we will give you at least 15 days' notice and a reasonable opportunity to put it right.

Whenever we suspend or remove a listing we will tell you why — the specific facts and the specific term or law we relied on — unless a legal obligation or an order prevents us from doing so. You can challenge the decision through the complaints route below.

When a listing ends it stops being publicly visible. We keep the underlying records for the periods set out in the Privacy Policy, including the record of the agreements you accepted, which is the evidence that they were accepted at all.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with a decision we have made — a moderation decision, a suspension, a removal, or the way we have handled your data — write to hello@findforevent.com setting out the details. We will look into it properly, respond within a reasonable time, and tell you the outcome and the reasons for it.

Using this route costs nothing and does not affect any other right you have, including your right to go to court.

Liability

Find for Event is provided as it is and as available. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, that your listing will reach any particular audience, or that any enquiry will turn into work.

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost bookings, lost data, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability to you for all claims connected with the platform arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and AMD 100,000.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Your indemnity to us

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded, because of a service you did or did not deliver to a client, or because you breached this agreement, you will cover our reasonable losses and legal costs in dealing with it.

This applies only to the extent the claim was not caused by our own breach, negligence or wrongdoing. We will tell you about any such claim promptly, will not settle it without asking you first, and will let you take over the defence if you want to.

Events outside our control

Neither of us is responsible for failing to meet an obligation under this agreement where the cause is outside our reasonable control — for example a network, power, hosting or connectivity failure, a natural event, a strike, an epidemic, war, or an act of a public authority. Your obligations to your own clients are not affected.

Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement as the platform develops. Each version carries the date it took effect.

Where a change is material we publish the new version and give you at least 15 days' notice before it applies to you, unless a legal obligation requires it sooner or the change is needed to address a security risk or unlawful content. You will be asked to accept the new version the next time you sign in.

Minor corrections — typos, clearer wording, a better translation — do not change what you agreed to and do not create a new version.

If you would rather not accept a new version you can unpublish your listing and end this agreement instead. A new version never applies retroactively to anything that happened under an earlier one.

General

If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of it continues in force, and that provision is treated as modified to the smallest extent needed to make it enforceable.

If we do not enforce a term straight away, that is not a waiver of it; we may still enforce it later.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under this agreement to another company as part of a reorganisation, merger or sale of the business, provided your rights under it are not reduced. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.

This agreement, together with the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, is the whole of what is agreed between us about your listing and replaces any earlier discussion or understanding about it.

Notices under this agreement are given by email: to you at the address on your account, and to us at hello@findforevent.com. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce this agreement.

Law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of Armenia, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.

Nothing in this clause deprives you of the protection of any mandatory provision of the law of the country in which you are established, where that law applies to you and cannot be excluded by agreement.

Before going to court, please raise the matter with us through the complaints route above. Almost everything is resolved faster and more cheaply that way.
